G3 is off to a fantastic start!
In mid-October the team competed in GRITS - an annual competition where last year’s robot competes for a final time. We finished seventh out of 38 teams with an astounding 7 victories and 2 defeats. This accomplishment demonstrates the hard work and dedication of everybody concerned.
In addition to competing and fine tuning our robot, the team participated in the Atlanta Pride Parade, marching with our robot to boost STEM awareness whilst supporting our local community. We believe this will be the start of an annual tradition, and is also a great chance to bring our graduates back to walk with us.
Finally, the team took on a community service project with InTownCares, putting together hygiene kits for the homeless. These kits contained necessities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, wipes, and socks.
It's been an exciting season, with more competitiveness, community involvement, and new relationships, all of which will position us for success in the spring competition season.
